Your'e looking at Steve with the Cirque du Soleil in the background. Wanda and Miriam gifted us with a trip to the show. It was AMAZING! We were awed by how flexible everyone was and how the show blended fantasy, art and the circus. It was a wonderful time.
Before that, we found ourselves trying once again to visit the Reichstag (no luck-long line and not enough time). But we did visit the Opernplatz which was the site of a huge book burning on May 10, 1933. There is a see-through plaque on the ground where looking in, you can see empty bookshelves th
at commemerated the 20,000 books burned that day from the Institut für Sexualwissenschaft and the Humboldt University; including works by Heinrich Heine, Thomas Mann, Karl Marx, Erich Maria Remarque and H.G. Wells (see wikipedia).
It was ironic that HP was heavily advertising at the site today.
